Ich möchte an einer Akademie Naturwissenschaften studieren. Wie lange dauert das?

I would like to study natural sciences at an academy. How long does it take?

A Bachelor's degree at a Universities has a standard period of study of 6 semesters, i.e. 3 years full-time (longer if part-time).

A consecutive Master's degree course, which builds on a Bachelor's degree and is regarded as an in-depth or specialization course, usually takes 4 semesters, i.e. 2 years, and is also full-time (the duration is also extended here if it is completed part-time).

The duration of a continuing education course, for example in the form of a Certificate of Advanced Studies (CAS), is different. Here you can expect a duration of 1 - 2 semesters.

For a DAS it is 2 - 3 semesters and for an MAS 3 - 5 semesters.

The duration varies depending on the provider, field of study and course, as this type of continuing education, further training is not a federally regulated course and therefore the scope, content, methodology and requirements are regulated independently by the respective Universities.

It's best to ask the provider directly - uncomplicated, fast and without obligation via our contact form or use the "Ask a question" button to speak directly to the right contact person.
