Hat Einzelunterricht wirklich so viele Vorteile gegenüber Gruppenunterricht?

Do private lessons really have so many advantages over group lessons?

The disadvantage of large school classes, whether in the upper school or within a language course, for exam preparation or tutoring, is that the teacher has to concentrate on a large number of pupils who all have different learning speeds, attention spans and comprehension skills. The pace of learning cannot be tailored to the individual, but adapts to the majority, so that very good, but also very weak students often lose out. One-to-one lessons, on the other hand, allow for a very personalized approach that is tailored to the individual student and can clarify open questions directly. In this way, the learning success is higher than in group lessons and enables better grades and faster, more intensive learning. The disadvantage is, of course, that social contact with classmates cannot be maintained or can only be maintained outside of lesson times, but this should not be an issue for a few hours of lessons per week. The situation is different, however, if you want to teach your child exclusively in one-to-one lessons and thus deprive him or her of the opportunity to socialize with peers and promote social intelligence. Learning has a lot to do with interaction and should therefore not be viewed in isolation as pure knowledge absorption. However, one-to-one tuition is the perfect complement to remedying deficits and ambiguities and improving skills through private tutoring, for example.
