Are there certain admission requirements for detective training?
Each detective school determines its own admission requirements for detective training. In most cases, however, a minimum age of 20 years and an impeccable reputation are required. Participants must also be Swiss citizens or foreigners with a C residence permit; at other schools, a B permit is sufficient. A good command of written and spoken German is also required, and an extract from the central criminal register and the debt collection office may also be requested at some schools. In addition, a future detective is expected to have stamina and patience, be healthy and flexible, enjoy investigating and be discreet.
