At journalism schools, you will find a wide range of courses in the field of journalism, which extend over different periods of time and focus on different topics. For example, you will find one or two-day courses on screenwriting, conducting interviews, domestic politics, local editing, reading techniques, media ethics, media law, sports reporting and many other topics. You usually also have the opportunity to attend so-called beginner's courses on journalistic writing, which give you an insight into the work of journalists and editors and provide you with the foundation for journalistic writing. Such seminars usually take place over a short period of a few days and are ideal for newcomers to the industry. Diploma courses, on the other hand, are probably not suitable for you, as they often last two years or longer and therefore cannot be described as short journalism seminars, but they do provide you with comprehensive knowledge and in-depth skills for a future career in journalism.
