Gehört zu einem Praktikum im Ausland auch ein Sprachkurs dazu?
Does an internship abroad also include a language course?
You do not always have to complete a language course during or before your internship, but it is highly recommended. As an introduction to a stay abroad and an insight into the world of work, it is best to attend a language course lasting several weeks in the relevant country before the start of the internship and develop a language routine. You can usually only start an internship abroad once you have reached a certain language level, usually advanced level (B1 to B2). Some providers also offer you a language course during your internship, but this is not always recommended. Bear in mind that by working in a foreign country in the form of an internship abroad, you are already gaining many new impressions and experiences that will certainly take a lot of energy to process. Taking a language course at the same time and "sacrificing" the remaining free time to study may seem like the best option at first glance, but you will most likely be annoyed afterwards as you will have little time to enjoy your experience abroad.
