DevOps Jobs: Was macht ein DevOps Engineer?

A DevOps Engineer is one of the most important DevOps jobs. A DevOps Engineer develops, installs, operates and maintains software applications in an agile environment - also known as DevOps agile. In addition, the DevOps Engineer ensures compliance with the agreed and required SLA - in terms of quality, resources/costs and operation. DevOps training allows you to train for this profession and perform the following DevOps Engineer tasks:

• Analyzing problems (business DevOps process, business transactions, data, functions) and the environment (workplace, target systems/platforms, framework organization)
• Processing malfunctions and error states in the technical environment / DevOps workflow)
• Defining functional and non-functional requirements (availability, security, performance) and creating concepts (DevOps concept) and cost estimates
• Creating models for data, functions and objects
• Developing, implementing and maintaining software applications, components, modules or interfaces to databases and other applications
• Designing, setting up and maintaining the development, test and production systems required for the software applications, including networks
• Automating processes for the generation of builds and releases as well as for the execution of interface tests, regression tests and software deliveries
• Coordinate all activities that serve to monitor the availability, recoverability, performance and resource consumption of the applications
• Coaching and guiding team members in the area of "DevOps"
• Creating and updating documentation and DevOps manuals

All of these DevOps tasks deal with building and maintaining a DevOps architect, DevOps CI/CD, DevOps process and DevOps project management. It is about building a good DevOps LifeCycle and adhering to the DevOps Pipeline. Some DevOps jobs also include DevOps leadership.
