Deutsch Kurse Dauer: Wie lange dauert ein Deutschkurs?

The "German course duration" is not fixed. Each school decides for itself which courses it offers and how long they last. For the usual standard courses, where you spend an afternoon or evening once a week at the language school, you can expect the course to last around 5 months. After this time, you will have a basic knowledge of the German language (level A1), be able to greet and say goodbye to others, have expanded your vocabulary and be able to talk about your hobbies. To obtain an A1 certificate and complete the course at this level, you should expect the course to take between 10 and 15 months, depending on the number of lessons per week.

German courses in the form of intensive courses take considerably less time, as you usually attend lessons several days a week. Such an intensive course can last just five weeks and teach you everything you would otherwise learn in a year, provided you study hard and attend the lessons. With private or individual lessons, you determine the duration of the course, just as you do with company seminars.
