If you are interested in a consecutive Master's degree course, such as a Master of Arts, Master of Science or Master of Engineering, this is a degree course that can be completed following or building on a Bachelor's degree course at Universities of Applied Sciences, Universities, Federal Institutes of Technology or Universities of Teacher Education. This means that, according to the Bologna reform, you must have a Bachelor's degree in the same subject area in order to study for a Master's degree. If, on the other hand, you are interested in a non-consecutive Master's degree course, such as a Master of Advanced Studies, this is not an in-depth course of study, but a part-time continuing education, further training course that does not require a subject-related Bachelor's degree, but does require a higher education qualification plus professional experience.
