Brauche ich für das Geburtshilfe-Studium irgendwelche besonderen Qualifikationen?

Do I need any special qualifications to study obstetrics?

If you would like to train in obstetrics with a Bachelor's degree in Midwifery, you will in any case need a Baccalaureate, Specialized Baccalaureate or Federal Vocational Baccalaureate. In addition, you must have at least one year's professional experience in the specialist field, which must not be more than five years old. During their studies, all students must therefore complete a ten-month internship, regardless of their previous education (with the exception of qualified nurses). In addition, depending on their previous education, an additional two months of work placement must be completed before the start of the course, which must be completed by all students with a Specialized Baccalaureate in Health, Specialized Baccalaureate in Health Sciences or Federal Vocational Baccalaureate with Federal VET Diploma FAGE. In the case of Federal Vocational Baccalaureate with a Federal Diploma of Vocational Education and Training in Healthcare as well as CHE degrees and SRC diplomas in healthcare, the two months must be completed depending on the degree. You can find out about the exact admission requirements directly from the Universities of Obstetrics, which you can simply write to using our contact form.
