Do I necessarily need a university degree for a Certificate of Advanced Studies?
If you want to study natural sciences at an academy in the form of a Certificate of Advanced Studies (CAS), you usually have the choice between universities and Universities of Applied Sciences. In both cases, you must have a university degree, but in the case of Universities of Applied Sciences (UAS) this can be an FIT, university or UAS degree. However, even people who have not studied at a university will be admitted to a CAS certificate course at most educational institutions, provided they can demonstrate comparable training and extensive experience in the relevant subject area.
