Training / further education Preparation of basic skills adult education for adult teaching in accordance with Art. 32

The preparatory training course "Preparatory course for basic skills in adult education" is aimed at adults who are aiming for an adult apprenticeship in the form of catch-up training in accordance with Art. 32. The course teaches skills that are based on the learning objectives of elementary school (lower secondary level). After the course, graduates have the same level of knowledge and skills as upper secondary school leavers.

The Basic Skills Adult Education preparation course lasts a total of one year and is divided into five modules, which complement each other and are interlinked in terms of content:

• Language
• Mathematics
• Nature, people and society
• Learning technique
• Computer science.

Participants can refresh and supplement their skills in the five areas and thus lay an optimal foundation for vocational school during the adult apprenticeship. In order to be able to complete the preparation for training, German language skills at level A2 must be demonstrated. The Vocational Certificate Office for Adults checks language skills before final admission to the course.

The registration fee and teaching materials cost a total of CHF 150. The course costs themselves are borne in full by the federal government.
