Please tell us about your career to date and your current position.

My name is Dana Rieder and I live in the Basel region. I was born in Heimberg in Germany. I studied dance in Holland. I then studied art and French in Freiburg to become a teacher. I now work as a secondary school teacher in Basel-Landschaft. I then completed further training in experiential education and yoga. Last year I completed my training in animal communication.

Which animal communication course did you complete at Tiergeflüster?

I have already completed the basic animal communication training at Tiergeflüster by Sandra Carrara. At the moment I'm still on a course in geo-therapy.

How did you come across the topic of animal communication?

I didn't used to have much to do with animals. We used to have cats, guinea pigs, rabbits and fish as pets. But I always had a close relationship with animals. I would have liked to have had more animals or grown up on a farm. However, I only really got into animal communication two years ago when I had three encounters with hornets. I had freed one from the pool. It stung me afterwards and I realized that I was allergic to it. Another hornet in my car then caused a car accident with whiplash injuries. During this time, I was able to take a break from the stress of everyday life. During the recovery period, I often spent hours sitting in the cow meadow with my dog. I noticed that these animals were on the same wavelength as me. Then I found another dying hornet that spoke to me. She said to me: "Dana, whisper with animals.". I then researched animals and whispering on the internet. That's how I ended up at Tiergeflüster and the training in animal communication. When I visited the Tiergeflüster website, I was immediately drawn in. It was clear to me that I would continue with animal communication here.

Why did you choose Tiergeflüster as your school?

The next day I spoke to the head of the school, Sandra Carrara, on the phone. Her voice sounded very positive and I immediately had a good feeling. I was immediately impressed by Sandra's vitality and friendliness. After our conversation, which must have lasted half an hour, I knew I was in the right place and that I would feel at home. It was clear to me that this was the right school and that animal communication was the right training for me.

How does the animal communication training support you in your work or in life?

What I found so amazing during the training in animal communication was that I felt a resonance that I couldn't put into words before. I realized that what had been humming inside me was coming out and supporting me. When I used to communicate with people, I often had the feeling that I wasn't being understood. People were on different wavelengths. Or I already knew what people wanted to tell me beforehand. This often led to boredom for me or I couldn't understand. The nice thing for me about animal communication is that I get a different perception of certain life impulses and this creates a good coherence for me. This gives me certainty about the things I feel and perceive. I then know that there really is something behind it. Others come to similar conclusions. Finding a common denominator in the group and being able to continue has confirmed my perception. I don't work as an animal communicator today. However, the training in animal communication has helped me a lot personally. I even use emotional painting in my art lessons today.

What learning content helped you particularly well?

For me, it really was the security I gained in listening more to my feelings and interpreting incoming impulses correctly. I think this in particular has made me incredibly strong. Not always questioning myself or everything else. But to really trust and recognize how much is behind it. To go through life in a positive way. Without the oppressiveness that keeps you trapped and the constant uncertainty that doesn't help you move forward. This is exactly what I learned during my training in animal communication.

Is there a specific project or success that you were able to achieve thanks to the knowledge you learned?

I have learned to look more at what is right for me. To recognize what I should do next. One weekend I was with my parents in Heidelberg and an uncle from South Africa came to visit. I traveled all the way from Basel to meet him, even though a day of my further training in animal communication had actually been announced. That was a key moment for me when I finally realized: I don't always want to be there for everyone else. This is now my thing and my training. I'm doing mine now. I then drove back over three hours to be able to take part in the course day after all. Even though I had missed the morning, it was an important realization for me. It taught me not to always want to please everyone else, but to look at what is right for me.

Did you invest a lot in the preparation and follow-up time for the training?

Of course, we had already been given tasks to take home. The aim was to see if there were any animals that we were currently having problems with. These were examples that we could bring to class to practise animal communication. We had already learned and worked on most of it in class. There was always plenty of time and space to practise. It was therefore not necessary for me to do anything extra at home. It was also important for me to practise animal communication together. Because I didn't get enough out of it at home and it would have fed my insecurity again instead of creating positive experiences. This further training course can therefore also be completed very well while working.

What did you like best about the animal communication course?

I liked Sandra best as a course instructor. With so many other courses I've done, I always got bored at some point. Or the fun fell by the wayside. Sometimes the instructor also moved away from the wishes and needs of the group. In this animal communication course, the joy and desire was always present. There was always the necessary spontaneity to be able to react to current situations. Sandra brings all these skills with her. Personally, I also developed a lot in common.

To whom would you recommend further training in animal communication?

I would recommend the animal communication course to anyone who has a close relationship with animals. Even those who perhaps sometimes have the feeling that they are not quite right. When you realize that you somehow have a different feeling when dealing with people. You discover a special sensitivity towards animals. It's open to everyone and for me personally it's not out of the question to attend a course in animal communication. Because it is totally concrete and comprehensible. It offers a wide range of topics. But it also requires a willingness to work on yourself.

What was your "aha" moment during your training in animal communication?

My aha moment during my training in animal communication was the realization that I really can communicate with animals. Before that, I simply didn't know exactly what was behind it. Even from the published content, I still had no concrete idea. The first time we actually had an animal in the photo and looked at what exactly was going on - that was the aha moment for me. So many things came out through animal communication. I realized that the cat had something on its front paw. Something is not quite right. His habit is to meow all night long. All these things that I suddenly recognized and then they were so right... I was really amazed. Precisely because it was so easy to recognize. This was my aha moment during the animal communication.

What was the atmosphere like during the training in animal communication?

There were only three of us. The group was very close-knit and the atmosphere was great. It was fun, intense and exciting. It was really good to have such a small group for the further training in animal communication.

How did you find the lessons and the collaboration with the course instructor?

The great thing about Sandra is that she is always totally open. She also responds spontaneously to the circumstances. The collaboration with everyone was very open and there were no taboos. It was coherent and harmonious during our animal communication course.

What do you like about Tiergeflüster?

What makes the biggest difference at Tiergeflüster is Sandra's personality. I immediately sensed a great familiarity and felt at home. I don't know exactly how she does it. She is always so authentic and cheerful. Full of energy throughout the entire animal communication course. It's really so good to feel her openness and warmth. Sandra is simply brilliant for me.
