Structural integration therapy - better known as Rolfing - uses gravity and the tension of the fascia (soft tissue component of the connective tissue) to achieve its effect. Conscious, targeted mobilization of the fascia has a beneficial effect on the body. The whole person is consciously considered and not just individual symptoms. Structural integration (Rolfing) makes the tissue supple and slippery. In addition to direct manual work on the tissue, movement and perception of movement are trained. The altered effect of gravity on the body triggers a self-healing process.

The in-depth training in Structured Integration or Rolfing includes learning manual fascia work, a holistic understanding of the human being and process-oriented aspects. Participants learn a good foundation of the techniques using the 10-session system and the theoretical background. The aim of the further training in Structured Integration / Rolfing is the competent execution of fascia treatment, the development of personal technique, the understanding of movement patterns, the acquisition of accompanying and leadership skills as well as process support. Practising this form of Tronc Commun complementary therapy requires sound basic medical knowledge, appropriate social skills and recognition of one's own limitations.
