Solar technician: your further training in the field of renewable energy

Are you interested in further training in the promising field of renewable energy and looking for the right course and the right school? Would you like to not only plan concepts for photovoltaic systems, heat pumps and solar systems for your customers, but also implement them professionally and independently? Then training to become a certified solar technician could be the right choice for you.

This course provides you with basic theoretical and practical knowledge in the fields of heating technology, heat pump technology, electrical engineering, solar thermal technology, occupational safety, photovoltaics, roofs and walls as well as energy - environment - market and serves as an excellent basis for a qualified job in which you will be able to advise as well as independently plan, install, commission and maintain.

This course lasts one semester and can also be taken part-time with a reduced workload. However, it should be noted that training to become a solar technician is not a federally recognized apprenticeship with a federal certificate of proficiency (EFZ), but rather a targeted further training course that allows you to complete vocational training with an EFZ. However, if you do not have an EFZ, it is always possible to attend this course if you have the appropriate qualifications and practical experience in the field of building technology and building envelopes. Questions and answers

Sollten Sie innerhalb der letzten zwei Jahre Ihre Ausbildung in einem für den Lehrgang zum Solarteur relevanten Bereich absolviert haben, so besteht die Möglichkeit, dass Sie von den entsprechenden Modulen befreit werden. Für Sie als Elektroinstallateur EFZ könnte dies bedeuten, dass Sie, vorausgesetzt Ihr Abschluss liegt zu Beginn des Lehrgangs nicht mehr als zwei Jahre zurück, das Modul „Grundlagen Elektrotechnik“ nicht besuchen müssen.  Dies sollte jedoch immer individuell und persönlich mit der Schule besprochen werden.
Bei dem Lehrgang zum Solarteur / zur Solarteurin handelt es sich um einen Zertifikatslehrgang, welcher Ihnen nach Bestehen der Prüfungen erlaubt, den europäisch geschützten Titel zu tragen. Bei einer Weiterbildung zum/zur Projektleiter/in Solarmontage handelt es sich hingegen um eine eidgenössisch anerkannte Berufsprüfung (BP), welche Sie nach der Weiterbildung abschliessen, um den eidgenössisch anerkannten Fachausweis zu erlangen. Haben Sie die Weiterbildung zum/zur Solarteur/in erfolgreich abgeschlossen und Interesse daran, sich zum/zur Projektleiter/in schulen zu lassen, so besteht die Möglichkeit, dass Sie mit ausschliesslich zwei Zusatzmodulen, nämlich Grundlagen Projektmanagement und Projektmanagement Solaranlagen, die Voraussetzungen erwerben, die Sie für die Berufsprüfung (BP) benötigen, die restlichen Module werden Ihnen vollumfänglich anerkannt.
Die Weiterbildung zum Solarteur ist in sieben Module unterteilt, die alle einzeln von einander besucht und abgeschlossen werden. Dabei handelt es sich um Grundlagen Elektrotechnik mit 30 Lektionen, Grundlage Wärmetechnik mit ebenfalls 30 Lektionen, Dach, Wand und Arbeitssicherheit mit 40 Lektionen, Energie – Umwelt – Markt mit 20 Lektionen, Fachmodule Photovoltaik, Solarthermie und Wärmepumpe mit jeweils 45 Lektionen. Detaillierte Angaben zu den Inhalten der jeweiligen Module erhalten Sie direkt bei den entsprechenden Schulen.
Die Weiterbildung zum Solarteur / zur Solarteurin setzt eine abgeschlossene Berufslehre von 3 oder 4 Jahren voraus, die Sie mit einem eidgenössischen Fähigkeitszeugnis abgeschlossen haben. Dieser Abschluss kann als Elektro-, Heizungs- oder Sanitärinstallateur sein, als Dachdecker oder Spengler, sowie anderen Berufen der Metall-, Maschinen-, Holz-, Bau- oder Elektrobranche. Sollten Sie über einen Lehrabschluss in einem anderen Bereich verfügen, so besprechen Sie dies bitte direkt mit der Schule, bei der Sie Ihre Weiterbildung absolvieren möchten.
Berufserfahrung im Bereich der erneuerbaren Energien ist für eine Weiterbildung zum/zur Solarteur/in nicht zwingend erforderlich.
