Further training in safety assistance is primarily aimed at safety officers and supervisors in SMEs and large companies. The aim of the training is to enable participants to become safety assistants who can ensure flawless occupational safety and implement health protection in accordance with the legal guidelines in their sector.

The tasks of safety assistants in companies include training, advising and supporting employees and management when it comes to ensuring safe workplaces, carrying out tasks safely and making environments as safe as possible. They continuously uncover potential sources of danger and plan various measures to minimize the risk. To do this, they need comprehensive knowledge of the technical systems and the legal principles relevant to the company. This enables safety officers to plan, develop, analyze and optimize well-founded systems and measures. The safety assistant is also responsible for ongoing reviews of the measures taken. During these processes, they work closely with the employees and management of the company, explain the measures and monitor their implementation. Safety assistants also draw up detailed work instructions in the form of checklists for employees to ensure safe working practices.

In the event of an emergency, such as an accident at work or a fire, the safety assistant is responsible for all clarifications, evaluations and organization.
