Bülach is located in the Zürcher Unterland - near Winterthur at 428 m above sea level at the western foot of the Dättenberg. In addition to the actual town settlement with its medieval core, the town also includes the villages of Eschenmosen, Nussbaumen and Heimgarten. The air distance to Zurich is around 16 km and Zurich-Kloten Airport is located fairly centrally between the two towns. The highway ends in Bülach-Nord and leads to the main road 4 to Schaffhausen. The Dielsdorf-Höri-Bülach-Embrach road link is also important for the canton. The road from Niederglatt-Höri-Hochfelden to Bülach, on the other hand, is regionally relevant. The journey from Kaiserstuhl (AG), Dielsdorf or Rafz only takes around a quarter of an hour.
