Product Design: Training, further education, course, overview of schools and offers

The CAS Data Product Design (FH) offers an exciting further education option at university of applied sciences level for specialists in the field of business analysis or data analysis, for analysts and data miners and for experts in the field of analytical marketing, but also for engineers, software professionals, IT specialists and consultants as well as for marketing specialists. This Certificate of Advanced Studies is part of the DAS Data Science (UAS) and the MAS Data Science (UAS). The certificate course deals with service and product development based on data. Participants learn methods for determining the important, decisive and user-specific value proposition for a data product. In addition, CAS participants deal with the question of how a promising and profitable business model can be developed for a data product. Of course, the course also covers the legal aspects and the area of data protection in detail. It therefore provides a solid and comprehensive understanding of data product design. Graduates of this continuing education course have in-depth knowledge and are considered proven experts with both theoretical and practical skills in product development and business model design based on data analysis. They also gain comprehensive knowledge in the areas of rapid prototyping, user testing, data protection and data security.

The course consists of four modules:

1st module: Data-specific Service Design
Basics of service and service product design, elaboration of relevant data and their integration into the design. Topics such as rapid service prototyping, data sources and service blueprinting are also part of this module.

2nd module: Data-specific Business Model Deisgn
Basis of business model design, service ecosystem design, development of business models and service ecosystems for a data product design, analyze and demonstrate business aspects of a business model.

3rd module - practical training
In a practical case study, a data product is developed and implemented in all steps.

4th module - Data Security / Data Protection
Fundamentals of data protection, data security, ethics and legal aspects in connection with data product design.
