Tipps und Entscheidungshilfen für die Ausbildungswahl

More and more people want to invest their money not only profitably, i.e. according to traditional criteria such as security, liquidity and profitability, but also to make a positive contribution to the environment, climate protection, etc., for example. Both economic and ecological/ethical aspects should therefore be taken into account.

The keyword here is "sustainable investing". The term "sustainable" is not protected by law, so there is no clear definition of what it must include. Products can therefore generally be labeled as sustainable without a more detailed review.

In this green investing debate, we therefore not only need sustainable financial products that meet certain criteria, but also well-qualified specialists who are distinguished by their specific knowledge, skills and abilities.

In a sustainable investing training course, participants are given the basic tools they need to invest money sustainably. Afterwards, they will know how sustainable investing can affect returns and what risks are associated with it. In addition, you will be sensitized to the topic of "greenwashing" and will be able to deal with it critically. The course content is taught in a very practical way so that you can immediately integrate the new knowledge into your everyday work.

Do you deal with sustainable investing in your work? Would you like to acquire in-depth knowledge about sustainable investing so that you can provide your clients with the best possible advice? Then sustainable investing training is the right choice for you.

Questions and answers

The learning content is the responsibility of the schools. There may therefore be differences depending on the school.

The following topics/learning content are often covered:

  • Definition and terminology of sustainable investing
  • Criteria and strategies for investing green
  • Sustainable investment products
  • The so-called ESG criteria
  • Raising awareness of greenwashing
  • Right to
  • Political discussions on investing money sustainably

For a detailed list of the contents, please contact the provider of your choice directly.

In principle, anyone who meets the admission requirements of the respective school may take part in a Sustainable Investing course.

For a CAS, for example, a university degree and relevant professional experience are required.

For people without a tertiary degree but with several years of relevant experience, many schools offer the option of admission "sur dossier", i.e. through an individual assessment of their background.

This depends entirely on which target group the sustainable investing training is aimed at. The training courses are often explicitly aimed at client advisors, managers or portfolio managers.

However, some offers have also been specially designed for private individuals. Here you can learn how to invest your money sustainably.

It is best to contact the school of your choice directly and ask.

The duration of a Sustainable Investing course is not standardized and can therefore vary from school to school.

CAS courses usually last one semester. Courses leading to a school certificate usually last a few days and/or weeks.
