Fashion designer - creating textile fashion

Is working as a fashion designer your dream job?

With basic training in the field of clothing design, there are various career paths open to you. However, if you want to achieve a real breakthrough in the textile industry, you can hardly avoid further training as a fashion designer. The course or individual modules of the training are also open to those without specific basic knowledge of fashion, design and textiles and offer a solid introduction to the world of fashion design. This course is offered at Higher Technical College (HF) level and can therefore be completed directly after the Federal Certificate of Competence (EFZ). It is a stepping stone in the field of design and is the ideal preparation for studying fashion design at a university of applied sciences at a later stage.

During the individual modules, participants receive in-depth training in developing and living out their own personal and innovative style. They are encouraged to think and act unconventionally. In this way, unexpected resources are discovered, awakened and directed into creative channels. The course offers optimal orientation in the fascinating and diverse world of fashion and serves as an inspiring way to discover your own design language. As a result, promising designs are already created during the course. Two- and three-dimensional design is the focus of the course. Color, collage and drawing techniques within fashion design are taught in a practical way, whereby the teachers impart a comprehensive knowledge of the various material properties, techniques and processes.
