The Fashion Design course at the University of Applied Sciences (HF) opens the door to a successful career as a textile designer. The course is aimed at those who have successfully completed an apprenticeship as a clothing designer, but is also open to interested career changers without professional experience in textiles, design and fashion. As the course has a modular structure, only individual modules can be completed. This course provides you with all the know-how and tools you need for a successful career as a fashion designer! It is also a very solid foundation for a later course in fashion design at a university of applied sciences.

The various modules encourage graduates to discover and apply their own personal and individual style. They are challenged to think and act unconventionally, which brings exciting resources to light and unleashes completely new creative paths. Participants in this course gain helpful orientation within this fascinating and multi-layered world of fashion and open up a path full of inspiring discoveries. The first very personal designs are created and realized during the course. Two- and three-dimensional design is the main focus of the course. Collage, drawing and color techniques of fashion design are taught and refined in a practical way. The teachers impart basic know-how about the various materials, techniques and processes.

Gibt es eine Aufnahmeprüfung für die Mode Design Ausbildung?

Sind die Zulassungsbedingungen erfüllt, können sich Studieninteressierte der HF-Ausbildung in Mode Design online zum Studiengang Modedesign HF anmelden. Anschliessend erhalten sie ein Thema, zu welchem sie eine Projektaufgabe einreichen müssen sowie eine Arbeitsdokumentation und ein Motivationsschreiben. Nach einem positiven Entscheid erfolgt eine Einladung zu einem Aufnahmegespräch, das über die Aufnahme zum Studium entscheidet.

Welche Kompetenzen vermittelt die HF-Ausbildung in Mode Design?

Eine fundierte handwerkliche, gestalterische und technische Ausbildung erhalten angehende Modedesigner und Modedesignerinnen im Verlauf der HF-Ausbildung in Mode Design. Konzeptionelles Denken, kreatives Schaffen, das Erkennen von Trends und Stil-Tendenzen und das eigenständige Arbeiten an Entwürfen, von der Ideenentwicklung bis zur Fertigung, wird den Studierenden vermittelt. Das HF-Studium in Mode Design erstreckt sich über die Dauer von sechs Semestern und umfasst 5`400 Lernstunden.

F+F School of Art and Design

R+F offers state-recognized degree courses in film (part-time), photography, art, fashion design and visual design leading to a higher technical college (HF) qualification. The range of courses also includes the two specialist classes in photography and graphics with an EFZ apprenticeship certificate and the preliminary course/preliminary course as well as the vocational preliminary course. The wide range of further education courses in design and the youth courses are open to all interested parties.

R+F is the largest independent art and design school in Switzerland. To this day, it has remained a laboratory for design and artistic creation that thrives on its large and dynamic network of lecturers. Public events such as exhibitions, project presentations and lectures make the R+F a meeting place for the Swiss art and design scene.
