Migration further education: Information, schools and offers for migration specialists

The one-year migration training course prepares participants for the migration specialist professional examination. The professional field of migration, asylum and integration is constantly changing. By taking the professional examination in migration, you will secure your long-term chances on the job market. Training to become a migration specialist is modular and graduates receive a certificate of competence for each module. Classes cover topics such as migration, integration, health, legal principles, integration systems, communication, practical integration support and professional work organization and cooperation. Two exam preparation days are held to prepare specifically for the professional exam. This preparatory phase is ideally concluded with a preliminary examination.
 
Admission to the Migration Specialist course is open to people who have an EFZ or equivalent qualification and professional experience in the field of migration / asylum / integration. However, you can also have your admission checked by means of a Sur-Dossier if you have at least four to five years of professional experience in at least 50% work (3 years of which must be in the field of migration, asylum and integration). Appropriate knowledge of German is also required. You can expect to pay around CHF 10,000 for the training. As a migration specialist, you will have specialist, methodological, personal, social and practical skills with regard to interculturality and migration. Graduates are also familiar with the legal and official framework conditions, communication and organization. They are able to carry out clarifications, consultations and interventions. Thanks to their knowledge of the rights and obligations in the area of migration and the procedural paths, migration specialists can meet challenges in the area of migration professionally. It is also helpful to be able to put yourself in the shoes of migrants and asylum seekers.
