Cardiotechnician training: Cardiovascular perfusion specialists
There is an interesting postgraduate Master's degree for perfusionists that fits in with their everyday practice and boosts their career: the MAS in Cardiovascular Perfusion FH. The postgraduate course was designed for specialists in nursing, anaesthesia and intensive care in order to provide a recognized university degree in the field of cardiovascular perfusion (CP). It is based on the requirements of the European Board of Cardiovascular Perfusion (EBCP) and turns participants into professional and competent specialists when it comes to the rapidly developing and constantly changing technical environment, requirements and patient focus.
The focus of the MAS FH course is on practice in the surgical setting. It strengthens and enhances the skills of perfusionists in various areas of cardiovascular technology, be it organ transplantation, pacemaker therapy, perioperative haemofiltration/haemodialysis, diagnostics, etc.
The course is modular and part-time and includes both attendance days as well as supervised and independent learning. This allows participants to organize their time flexibly, but also requires discipline and a willingness to learn.
