The Italian grammar school

Are you still unsure whether an Italian grammar school would be a good choice for you? Would you like to take the Matura, but don't yet know exactly which specialization to choose?

A language focus is a good choice in many respects. Languages build bridges from our familiar environment to other cultures and foreign countries. They are also an important key competence for later professional careers. Today's global economy relies on specialists and managers being able to cover a broad spectrum of foreign languages, and those who are proficient in Switzerland's third national language can benefit from this in various professional fields. Italian is one of the most important languages, especially in the fields of art and history. But competent specialists with a sound knowledge of Italian are also in demand in tourism, trade and business.

An Italian grammar school enables graduates to acquire a sound knowledge of this beautiful language, which can later be put to good use both at university and at work. If you choose Italian as your main subject at grammar school, in most cases this also includes an exchange year in an Italian-speaking region. Of course, this is a great benefit and appeals to many high school students.

Questions and answers
