The CAS Global Negotiator (Uni) is aimed at business people and managers who have to conduct negotiations on a regular basis in their day-to-day business - be it with employees, business partners, suppliers, authorities, customers or counterparties. Competent negotiation skills are often the key to successfully completing tasks. The right negotiation tactics promote important business deals and thus also your career.

The CAS Global Negotiator is innovative and unique because it trains participants in an unprecedentedly comprehensive way. After successful completion of the modular certificate program, even complex and intercultural negotiations can be mastered and are likely to be successful. The course trains students in the fundamental areas of confidence building, communication, mediation and interview techniques. Negotiation according to the Harvard concept is also taught. Students are prepared for negotiations in the border area. They become professionals in all aspects of systemic negotiation and are able to manage negotiations in a targeted manner. The course teaches how the negotiation process can be planned as a project. Different negotiation environments are specifically considered and their individuality is demonstrated. What constitutes international negotiation is also given an important place in the continuing education course: the intercultural context. The now very experienced negotiators learn what should be taken into account when negotiating in an international environment with different cultures and where small subtleties and differences can often make the difference between success and defeat. This aspect makes them sought-after negotiation specialists in international companies.

Der Certificate of Advanced Studies CAS Zertifikatslehrgang Global Negotiator ist eine spezifische Weiterbildung für Fach- und Führungskräfte des oberen Kader mit internationaler Berufserfahrung. Er richtet sich an Rechtsanwälte/-anwältinnen, Unternehmer/innen, Verwaltungsräte/-rätinnen und höhere Führungskräfte, die sich gezielt über Verhandlungen und Verhandlungstechniken im internationalen Kontext befassen möchten und eine berufsbegleitende Weiterbildung auf hohem Niveau suchen.

Teilnehmende des CAS Certified Global Negotiator erlangen durch den Verhandlungslehrgang Sicherheit im Umgang und der Anwendung unterschiedlichster Verhandlungstechniken, auch in schwierigen Situationen. Sie können unter Druck internationale Verhandlungen führen und integrieren ihre eigene Verhandlungs-Position in den entsprechenden kulturellen Kontext. Kurteilnehmer stärken ihre Verhandlungskompetenzen und erlangen aktuelles und praxisorientiertes Wissen von qualifizierten Dozenten in einer berufsbegleitenden Weiterbildung.

Bei dem Zertifikatslehrgang CAS Global Negotiator handelt es sich um eine modulare Weiterbildung, die in vier Blöcken zu je einer Woche durchgeführt wird. Der Kurs zum globalen Verhandlungsführer erstreckt sich über die Dauer von etwa einem Jahr, so dass pro Jahr acht Kurstage anfallen.

Die Weiterbildung zum Certified Global Negotiator (CGN-HSG) der Universität St. Gallen besteht aus vier Modulblöcken, die mit einer Prüfung abgeschlossen werden. Die einzelnen Module sind: „Verhandeln nach dem Harvard-Konzept“, in dem Sie lernen, Verhandlungen zu steuern, „Systemisch verhandeln“, welches Vertrauensbildung, Kommunikationsgrundlagen, Körpersprache, Fragetechniken und Methodik zum Inhalt hat, „Verhandeln im Grenzbereich“ mit den Inhalten Führung, Verhandeln in schwierigen Situationen, Verhandlungspsychologie, sowie Verhandlungsprozesssteuerung in M & A Transaktionen, sowie das Modul „Verhandeln im kulturellen Kontext“, welches Ihnen die die kulturellen Eigenheiten in den wichtigsten Märkten näher bringt, interkulturelle Kommunikation und die entsprechenden Dos and Don`ts sowie Verhandlungsmethodik-Training. The Law & Management division offers high-quality continuing education courses at the interface between law and business administration. The courses are aimed both at lawyers who wish to acquire management skills and at managers who require knowledge of business law. In addition to the extra-occupational programs "Management for the Legal Profession" and "Business Law for Managers", we offer a negotiation course: "Certified Global Negotiator" and a seminar week in "Systemic Group Dynamics".
