Anyone can sing! Whether young, old, male or female, singing is a wonderful activity that liberates and lifts you to another level. Is singing one of your greatest hobbies? Or maybe you even sing in a band and want to get even more out of your voice? Or perhaps you are a singing talent who would like to optimize your skills and voice many times over with professional singing lessons? Learning to sing is not only a good decision for amateur singers or (aspiring) singing professionals. People who often speak in front of other people, such as teachers, lecturers, speakers or actors, also benefit from singing lessons.

Together with your singing teacher, you will learn the right techniques, develop your strengths and also learn how to overcome your weaknesses. There are many music schools and singing teachers in Switzerland that offer singing lessons. Depending on where you want to focus and train more intensively, we recommend a different school. Do you perhaps need private lessons to hone your individual development points, or is it best for you to receive lessons in a group? Would you prefer to learn to sing online or in person?

Singing lessons are primarily about improving voice quality - and this is possible for everyone. So anyone can learn to sing.

You can start singing lessons at any age - even at 70. Ideally, you should not be younger than 10 - 12 years old, depending on your level of mental and physical development.

Singing lessons can be organized in very different ways and depend on the individually defined goal that has been discussed with the singing teacher. The following can be done during a singing lesson:

  • Breathing exercises / diaphragm training
  • Warm-up exercises
  • Posture exercises
  • Exercises for vocal technique (vocal range, head voice, belly voice, mixed voice, high and low singing, vocal tone, etc.)
  • Learning to sing a song

Singing lessons are worthwhile for anyone who enjoys music and singing and are not exclusively aimed at people who want to pursue a career as a musician. Singing lessons are also worthwhile for people who often speak in front of people, e.g. teachers, actors, speakers, etc.
