Grundsätzlich ist es möglich, dass Studierende des Masters in Biomedical Engineering während des Studiums berufstätig sind. Eine Berufstätigkeit von 40 bis 50 Prozent ist denkbar. Jedoch sollten Sie beachten, dass eine solche Doppelbelastung schnell überfordern kann, so dass sich diesbezüglich ein Gespräch mit der Studienleitung vor Beginn des Studiums anbietet.

Bei Biomedical Engineering Master handelt es sich um einen universitären Masterstudiengang MSc in Biomedical Engineering.

Zwingend notwendig für angehende Biomedizin Ingenieure und Ingenieurinnen ist das Beherrschen der englischen Sprache auf hohem Niveau für den Masterstudiengang in Biomedical Engineering, da alle Kurse ausschliesslich in Englisch unterrichtet werden. Vor Beginn des Studiums sollten Sie daher, sofern notwendig, Ihre Englischkenntnisse erweitern. Biomedical Engineering is usually a Master's specialization. Biomedical engineering is an interdisciplinary field in which procedures and methods from the technical sciences, mathematics and physics are used. The aim is to tackle and solve the most important current problems in biology and medicine. Depending on the specialization chosen, the course deepens knowledge in the relevant area of biomedical engineering, e.g. bioelectronics, biomechanics, etc.

Obwohl es sich bei dem MSc Biomedical Engineering um einen universitären Masterabschluss in der Biomedizinischen Technik handelt, haben durch die Kooperation der Berner Fachhochschule und der Berner Universität auch Schweizer Fachhochschulabsolventen und -absolventinnen die Möglichkeit, am Studiengang teilzunehmen, vorausgesetzt allerdings, sie verfügen über einen einschlägigen naturwissenschaftlichen oder technischen Abschluss, etwa in Elektroingenieurwissenschaft, Informatik, Maschineningenieurwissenschaften, Mikrotechnik, Physik, Rechnergestützte Wissenschaften oder vergleichbaren Fachrichtung.

 

 

 

 

Das Masterprogramm in Biomedical Engineering (Uni) hat eine Dauer von mindestens vier Semestern, kann jedoch bis zu sechs Semestern ausgeweitet werden.
