Job description for administrative specialist

The administrative specialist is a member of management and is primarily employed in the field of occupational pensions. They can work for insurance companies, banks, administrations, pension funds or trust companies, for example.

 

One focus of the activities of an administrative specialist is the smooth processing of the second pillar (the second pillar includes pension payments, vested benefits, lump-sum benefits, collection of contributions, etc.). In order to be able to cope with this very demanding task, the job requires broad know-how and comprehensive knowledge of the legal basis as well as practical experience in the field of occupational pensions.

 

In addition, the administrative specialist also deals with financing issues relating to the benefits guaranteed by a pension fund. In the area of accounting, the main focus is on the optimal investment of salary percentages.

Questions and answers

Die Weiterbildung zur Verwaltungsfachfrau / zum Verwaltungsfachmann als Vorbereitung auf die Berufsprüfung Fachmann / Fachfrau Personalvorsorge mit eidg. Fachausweis hat eine Dauer von zwei Jahren und wird berufsbegleitend durchgeführt. Ausser in den Ferien erfolgt die Ausbildung in der Regel an jedem zweiten Samstag. Für aktuelle Kursdaten wenden Sie sich über unser Kontaktformular bitte direkt an die Fachschule.

Die eidgenössische Berufsprüfung zur Verwaltungsfachfrau / zum Verwaltungsfachmann respektive Fachmann / Fachfrau für Personenvorsorge setzt sich aus sechs Prüfungsteilen zusammen. Schriftlich und mit einfacher Gewichtung werden die Prüfungsteile eins bis vier abgelegt: „Rechtsgrundlagen“, „Versicherungstechnik“, „Rechnungswesen“, sowie „Kapitalanlagen“. Mit einer doppelten Gewichtung und einer vier- anstelle zweistündigen schriftlichen Prüfung erfolgt der Prüfungsteil fünf „Pensionskassenführung Fallstudien“, und zudem als Prüfungsteil sechs auch in einer halbstündigen mündlichen Prüfung mit einfacher Gewichtung.

Nach bestandener Berufsprüfung der Weiterbildung zum / zur Verwaltungsfachmann / Verwaltungsfachfrau erlangen Sie den Titel: „Fachmann / Fachfrau für Personalvorsorge mit eidgenössischem Fachausweis“.

Mindestens drei Jahre Berufserfahrung, davon mindestens ein Jahr in der beruflichen Vorsorge sind notwendig, um sich für die Berufsprüfung zur Verwaltungsfachfrau / zum Verwaltungsfachmann (Fachmann / Fachfrau für Personenvorsorge) anmelden zu können.
