Admission to the federal final examination is granted to those who:

provides proof of a federal certificate of proficiency (EFZ) in a profession with at least three years of basic vocational training or holds a diploma from a state-recognized commercial secondary school, a diploma from a state-recognized, at least three-year diploma secondary school or technical secondary school or a Matura certificate (all profiles)

and

has at least two years of relevant professional experience.

Or

provides proof of a federal vocational certificate (EBA) in a profession with at least two years of basic vocational training

and

has at least three years of relevant professional experience.

  • Gathering information and knowledge and using suitable working techniques, methodological skills, project management know-how and the right internal and external network to organize work in a targeted and efficient manner

Anyone who obtains a Swiss educational qualification from the professional association Swiss Marketing (SMC) as a marketing specialist from February 2021 will receive a European certificate. Earlier federal certificates can also be retroactively certified according to the European standard - at least 10 years back. The SMC is an official certification partner of EMC (European Marketing Confederation). This enables the qualification to be recognized throughout Europe, making it more internationally comparable and easier to understand. As a marketing specialist with a federal certificate, you can call yourself a Junior Marketing Manager.

In the marketing specialist training course, participants learn to plan suitable marketing measures and implement them together with specialists from the areas of text/concept or design.

Marketing specialists with a federal certificate work in a wide variety of companies, agencies and organizations, where they plan, monitor and implement marketing measures. To this end, they draw up detailed marketing plans that identify sensible strategies and tools that can be used to implement the individual concepts. A certified marketing specialist works closely with those responsible for the implementation of marketing measures, such as designers and copywriters, as well as with external institutions such as those responsible for market research. In this way, the marketing specialist coordinates the entire process of the planned marketing measure, which they plan, implement and monitor, but always under the leadership of a marketing or sales manager.

A marketing specialist with a federal certificate works in management positions in marketing. They are employed in marketing, advertising, public relations (PR for short), market research, direct marketing, product management or sales. Marketing specialists also have good prospects as self-employed professionals. According to information from the marketing specialist careers advice service, people in this profession should have a marketing-oriented mindset, negotiating skills and good business knowledge. The ability to develop, implement and review projects is also important.

The results of a survey conducted by the education platform Ausbildung-Weiterbildung.ch show the reasons why people are interested in continuing their education to become a federal marketing specialist:

  • 76% of respondents still compare the course with their own needs for further development.
  • 17 % show interest based on a recommendation.
  • 7 % are interested in marketing specialist training because it is explicitly required in job advertisements.

Additional explanations were provided by two free text responses: "I am very interested and work in this department, but I only have a commercial apprenticeship certificate" and "I started the course but have not yet completed it."

The Marketing Specialist with Federal Certificate course costs between CHF 9,000 and CHF 14,000. If you pass the federal examination, you can claim 50% of the course costs back from the federal government, regardless of whether you pass the federal examination or not.

  • With qualified professional and management experience (admission "sur dossier"): Postgraduate studies at a university of applied sciences EMBA Business Administration - Strategic Marketing, Marketing Management or Communication Management

The results of a survey conducted by the education platform Ausbildung-Weiterbildung.ch show clear results regarding the reasons for school inquiries for further training as a marketing specialist. 53% of all participants enquired about schools on the basis of an online assessment. 14% of prospective students already knew the school or schools before enquiring for more details about their training courses. A further 33% of respondents initiated a school inquiry based on a recommendation. The demand for schools that are already known is certainly also due to the fact that many attend a basic course or preliminary course before continuing their marketing specialist training. One survey participant gave another reason in a text response or perhaps the aim of the inquiry was "general information". However, this is probably the aim of most of the school inquiries made. However, two other people have already completed their vocational baccalaureate or apprenticeship at the requested school. Other reasons include proximity to work or place of residence, start dates and simply as a result of an internet search.

The personal requirements for a marketing specialist are:

Die persönliche Betreuung, die kleinen Klassen im MMI und die auch mal flexiblen Nachholstunden sind top- Rückfragen sind jederzeit unkompliziert möglich. Alles ist sehr gut organisiert und mit vorausgesetztem persönlichen Engagement ist man sehr gut auf die eidg. Prüfungen vorbereitet. Lehrgang und Prüfung Marketingfachfrau an sich sollte meiner Meinung nach der Digitalisierung besser angepasst werden; die viele Schreibarbeit von Hand ist sehr mühsam.

Ich habe mich gleich zu Beginn des Lehrgangs sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Schulleitung ist sehr bedacht bei jedem Anliegen eine passende Lösung zu finden. Bei Fragen oder Unklarheiten ist die Schulleitung wie auch die Dozenten sehr gut erreichbar. Auf die Prüfungen werden die Studenten intensiv vorbereitet. Ich kann die MBSZ nur weiterempfehlen.

Die MBSZ hat mich optimal auf die eidg. Prüfung vorbereitet, ich hätte es mir fast nicht besser wünschen können. Modularer Aufbau der Lerninhalte, zuerst intensiv fachliche Basis, danach darauf aufbauend Methodik und Prüfungsvorbereitung. Hohe fachliche Qualität, die meisten haben spürbar Spass am Dozieren / Leifenschaft fürs Fach. Würde den Lehrgang absolut weiterempfehlen 9/10

Die Schule und die Infrastruktur gefällt mir sehr gut. Ich finde auch die Unterrichtsgestaltung bei den meisten Lehrpersonen sehr gut. Ich hoffe, dass die Lernstoffvermittlung und der Unterricht im Fach Marketing spannender vermittelt wird. Es wird im Fach Marketing teilweise fix nach einem vordefinierte Programm unterrichtet mit wenig Spielraum. Ich schätze es, dass wir teilweise einige Minuten früher Schluss haben, da niemand mehr klar denken kann.

Da wir die erste Klasse der neuen Reform waren gab es viele Unklarheiten welche auch nicht geklärt wurden und darunter waren auch wichtige Informationen betreffend Prüfungsabläufe und Testprüfungen usw.

Wir versuchen stets, alles, was wir wissen, sofort den Teilnehmenden weiterzugeben. Die erste Durchführung nach einer Reglementsänderung wird jedoch immer ein Spezialfall bleiben.

Ich habe das Gefühl, auch verglichen mit anderen Schulen, sind wir am HKV Aarau sehr gut vorbereitet worden auf die Prüfungen. Was sicherlich unglücklich war, ist die Tatsache, keine Vorbereitungsprüfungen nach neuem Format geschrieben zu haben.

Vielen Dank für die positive Rückmeldung. Auch wir waren nicht glücklich darüber, dass der Prüfungsträger keine zusätzlichen Übungsserien zur Verfügung gestellt, sodass wir halt selber Aufgaben erstellen mussten.

die hkv aarau hat mich von anfang an in ihren bann gezogen. marco hat mich am infoanlass begeistert und extrem motiviert, weshalb ich mich für aarau entschieden habe. den lehrgang würde ich jedem empfehlen, weil es eine super basis für das marketing ist. man sieht in viele teile des marketings etwas tiefer, was sehr spannend und kurzweilig ist. die dozenten im allgemeinen fand ich wirklich cool, ich konnte viel profitieren und einige haben mich sehr beeindruckt ab ihrem wissen und ihren leistungen.

Alles in Allem war ich mit dem Lehrgang zufrieden. Im Allgemeinen Top-Lehrpersonen, von den meisten konnte ich extrem profitieren. Durch die vielen verschiedenen Dozenten gab es auch viel Abwechslung, top! Ich denke, dass uns von der Schule alles/das Meiste wichtige mitgegeben wurde.

Da wir die ersten nach neuer Reform waren, war es nicht ganz einfach. Teilweise wurden zu viele Unterrichtsstunden für Fächer eingeplant welche dann nur Randthemen waren. Ansonsten gute Dozenten mit hohem Fachwissen und Praxisbezug.

Wenn ich eine neue Weiterbildung machen würde, würde ich wieder HKVA wählen. Gute Lage, gute Dozenten und bemüht die Lehrgänge zum Erfolg zu führen.

Lehrgang ist sehr gut organisiert, die Dozenten praxisnah und der Unterricht ist abwechslungsreich.

Top Dozenten mit enormen Fachwissen, stets freundlich. Kommunikation hat grösstenteils funktioniert. Schwerpunktsetzungen des Lehrgangs müssen überdacht werden (Beispiel: - 16h Rechtsunterricht für eine Prüfungsfrage - Rechnungswesen kürzen, Distribution ausbauen). Prüfungstrainings früher ansetzen.

Ich finde die Schule sehr gut. Der Stoff wird gut übermittelt und bei Fragen stehen die Dozenten immer zur Verfügung. Das Geld ist dort gut investiert und bei weiteren Weiterbildungen werde ich sicherlich wieder dieselbe Schule aufsuchen.
