Der Bildungsgang zur Berufsprüfung Spezialist in Unternehmensorganisation / Spezialistin in Unternehmensorganisation mit eidgenössischem Fachausweis vermittelt fundierte Kenntnisse in allen Zweigen der  Unternehmens-organisation. Absolventen / Absolventinnen des Fachausweises verfügen über hohe Fachkompetenz im Projekt-, Struktur- und Prozessmanagement. Sie sind in der Lage, komplexe organisatorische Aufgaben auf Stufe Gesamtorganisation in kleineren bis mittleren Betrieben und auf Stufe Organisationseinheit in grösseren Betrieben zu übernehmen. Solides betriebswirtschaftliches Wissen, Kenntnisse des ICT- und Changemanagements sowie die Fähigkeit soziale Unternehmensprozesse zu steuern (Beratungskompetenz) runden das Kompetenzprofil ab.

The following criteria apply for admission to the professional examination Specialist in Business Organization:

• Federal certificate of proficiency (EFZ), high school diploma, commercial diploma or equivalent qualification

and

• 2 years of professional experience related to an area of business organization

The EOP decides on the equivalence of foreign qualifications and diplomas for the professional examination Specialist in Business Organization.

The survey conducted by Ausbildung-Weiterbildung.ch among those interested in a "Specialist in Business Organization" further education course revealed the following reasons for inquiries to schools:

• 9 % already knew the school/s before the request
• 16 % were recommended the requested school(s)

One survey participant gave his own reason for requesting a school for further training in "Specialist in business organization" via text response:

The education platform Ausbildung-Weiterbildung.ch conducted a survey to clarify these reasons for interest. According to the results of the survey, 82% of those interested in training would still like to find out whether training as a specialist in business organization suits their own needs. 16.5 % show interest through recommendations. 1.5 % do so due to frequent mentions in job advertisements. Optional text responses show the most important reasons: "I believe I can deepen my skills with this course", "I am looking for a challenge for the future", "Opportunity for other interesting jobs" and "Further development as a coach and consultant"

A specialist in business organization course lasts two to three semesters, depending on the training provider and teaching form. It comprises approx. 300 lessons. Teaching options are, for example, two evenings per week, on an afternoon/evening or all day on a weekday and/or Saturday.

The following parts of the examination are tested in the federal examination following the specialist in business organization continuing education:

• Professional knowledge and methodological/technical skills (written, 2 hours)
• Mini Cases, Critical Incidents (written, 2 hours)
• Case study (written, 3.5 hours)
• In-depth discussion on presentation and selected area of competence (oral, 1 hour)
• Presentation and technical discussion (group examination, oral, 3.5 hours)
