Welche Voraussetzungen gelten für einen Shiatsu-Lehrgang?

Für Grundkurse zur Shiatsu Ausbildung müssen Sie in den meisten Fällen keinerlei Voraussetzungen erfüllen. Bei einem Zertifikatslehrgang gelten meist nur einige wenige Bedingungen: Einzelne Schulen schreiben ein Mindestalter von 21 Jahren vor Abschluss auf Sekundarstufe II (Berufsabschluss) Selbständigkeit, Eigenverantwortlichkeit, Kontaktfreude

Wie lange dauert eine professionelle Ausbildung in Shiatsu?

Um Zen Shiatsu Therapeut/in zu werden, sollten Sie sich mindestens drei Jahre Zeit nehmen können. Die Ausbildung erfolgt in der Regel modular oder berufsbegleitend und umfasst - je nach Schule - ca. 600 Stunden Präsenzzeit. Um das Branchenzertifikat vom OdA KT zu erlangen, braucht man ausserdem noch den Tronc Commun (berufsspezifische und sozialwissenschaftliche Ausbildung) sowie den Abschluss in Medizinischen Grundlagen (zusammen nochmals 340 Stunden Präsenzkurs), sowie ein Praktikum und Selbststudium.

Shiatsu training - learn the extraordinary body therapy

Shiatsu was developed in Japan and originated from the traditional Chinese massage Tuina. Around 100 years ago, various massage techniques, acupuncture and acupressure began to be combined with energetic bodywork to develop a form of massage that is distinct from relaxation massages. Shiatsu means "finger pressure". However, it is not just the finger that is used for the pressure massage, but the whole body. The practitioner tries to work with the weight of the body, requiring a great deal of sensitivity, attention and openness.

This leads to an energetic connection between the patient and the treating therapist. In the West, treatment is usually only carried out with the fingers, balls of the hands, elbows and knees.

What are the requirements for a Shiatsu course?

In most cases, you do not need to fulfill any prerequisites for basic Shiatsu training courses. There are usually only a few conditions for a certificate course:

Some schools stipulate a minimum age of 21 years
Secondary level II qualification (vocational qualification)
Independence, personal responsibility, sociability

Welche Ausbildungsmöglichkeiten gibt es im Shiatsu?

Shiatsu ist eine japanische Therapieform, die mit chinesischer Medizin und Philosophie im Laufe der Zeit ergänzt und vervollständigt wurde. Diese manuelle Therapie kann sowohl in einem mehrtägigen Seminar in den Grundelementen erlernt werden, um sie anschliessend im Freundes- oder Familienkreis anzuwenden, als auch für eine professionelle Tätigkeit in Form eines mehrjährigen Lehrgangs. Der Grundkurs findet meist an drei Wochenenden oder als Intensivseminar statt. Die Shiatsu Ausbildung dauert in etwa drei Jahre. Meist wird das Zen Shiatsu gelehrt, eine Weiterentwicklung, die westliche Physiologie und Psychologie sowie Dehnungen, Rotationen, Kontraktionen Hand-, Fuss-, Knie- und Ellenbogendruck mit einschliesst und mit philosophischen Ansätzen des Zen Buddhismus ergänzt.

How long does professional training in Shiatsu take?

To become a Zen Shiatsu therapist, you should be able to take at least three years. The training is usually modular or part-time and comprises - depending on the school - approx. 600 hours of attendance time.

In order to obtain the industry certificate from the OdA KT, you also need the Tronc Commun (vocational and social science training) and a degree in medical basics (another 340 hours of classroom training), as well as an internship and self-study.
