CAD course: technical drawing and modeling

CAD stands for computer-aided design and is mainly used where something is to be built later (e.g. architecture, mechanical engineering, plant construction). In a CAD course, you will not only learn technical drawing, but also how to create a model using this program. You can then use these models to carry out various simulations. For example, you can test what loads certain components can withstand.

Gibt es bestimmte Voraussetzungen für ein Seminar in Konstruktionstechnik / CAD?

Je nach Lehrgang in der Konstruktionstechnik werden von den Teilnehmenden andere Voraussetzungen verlangt. Für Grundlagenkurse, die etwa 2D Konstruktionen mit AutoCAD lehren, sind meist PC-Grundlagen-Anwenderkenntnisse ausreichend. Brauche ich für einen CAD Kurs bereits Erfahrung mit bestimmten Anwendungen?

Ein CAD Kurs als Basislehrgang richtet sich in der Regel an Personen, die noch keine oder nur wenig Erfahrung im Umgang mit diesem Programm haben, sich diese jedoch aneignen wollen. Windows Anwenderkenntnisse sind oftmals ausreichend, einige Schulen verlangen jedoch auch Grundkenntnisse in technischem Zeichnen.

Vermittelt jeder CAD Kurs auch Wissen um dreidimensionales Zeichnen?

Obwohl mit CAD (Computer-aided design) das Konstruieren von 3D Modellen möglich ist, wird nicht in allen Kursen auch auf das Erstellen von dreidimensionalen Objekten hingearbeitet, sondern oftmals vor allem bei Einsteigerkursen auf 2D gesetzt. In der Regel ist ein CAD Kurs jedoch mit 3D oder 2D gekennzeichnet.
