How well known is the architecture degree among potential employers? What will the training do for me professionally?

At tertiary level, studying architecture at a university (university of applied sciences or university) is one of the two typical foundations for a career as an architect - the other foundation is the apprenticeship qualification as an "EFZ draughtsperson specializing in architecture".

The architecture degree is well known among employers in the construction and planning sector and is often a prerequisite for employment (e.g. for internships or junior positions). Employers in the field of architecture expect the knowledge, skills and abilities acquired during your studies.

As the job title "architect" is not protected in Switzerland, in principle anyone can use it. With the title of an accredited university, you can therefore stand out from the competition and put your career on a solid footing.
